Not since their Charles Manson cover of more than 40 years ago has Rolling Stone magazine met with so much criticism. On the cover of their latest issue, the normally rock 'n' roll oriented rag has a photo of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in what one critic called a "Justin Bieber, pretty boy, glamour pose!"

In fact, the shot of the suddenly sensitive looking Tsarnaev has been likened to that magazine's famous photo of Doors frontman Jim Morrison, in which the late musician was described as 'doe-eyed'.

Amidst the almost instant cries of insensitivity, CVS has announced that their stores nationwide will not feature this latest Rolling Stone issue on their news / magazine stands.

And as if the magazine wasn't already getting enough negative ink, Mayor Thomas Menino of Boston responded with this official letter:
