KNGT | Lake Charles, LA — Alright y'all… welcome back to another Cajun Weekend Weather Report, and I regret to inform everybody waiting on fall that...Louisiana still ain't interested. We're almost halfway through September. Pumpkin spice is everywhere. Halloween decorations are already showing up.

Some of y'all are probably itching to make that first gumbo. Meanwhile, Southwest Louisiana is over here saying...How about a RealFeel of 106 degrees instead?

According to AccuWeather, we still in that "Summertime" Weather. But once again, the big story ain't the rain. It's the HEAT.

Cajun Weekend Weather Report: Fall Can Wait, SWLA Is Still Sweating

Friday
Friday starts with a high around 91 degrees and only a 4% chance of rain. And that humidity is gonna do what Louisiana humidity does best. Make 91 degrees feel like 104. Yep. The RealFeel could hit 104 degrees Friday. Dont let September fool you, if you've got Friday night football, an outdoor event, or plans to fire up the pit after work. Keep drinking water, find some shade when you can, and bring the sunscreen.

Saturday
Saturday might be the best day of the weekend if you're looking for sunshine. But it definitely ain't the best day if you're looking for fall. We're talking sunshine, a high around 92 degrees, and only a 5% chance of rain. BUT... The RealFeel could hit 106 degrees. GOOD LORD.

If you're headed outside to a festival, football game, cookout, lake, or anything else outside Saturday, bring plenty of water. And go ahead and get that extra bag of ice. Actually, we're in September now. You probably thought you were done buying extra ice. SURPRISE!

Sunday
Sunday brings our best chance of seeing a little rain. Highs around 92 degrees with a 55% chance of showers in our areas. It's more like one of those classic Louisiana situations where it might be raining at your house while somebody five miles down the road is cutting grass under blue skies.

And even with the chance of rain...The RealFeel could still hit 103 degrees. So yeah. Still hot. Still humid. Still ain't fall.

Here's Your Weekend Game Plan
Friday: Mostly sunny, humid, and a RealFeel around 104.
Saturday: Tons of sunshine with a RealFeel around 106.
Sunday: Mostly sunny with a few showers possible and a RealFeel around 103.

Bottom line? Keep the ice chest full. And please don't break out the flannel shirt just because the calendar says September. You're gonna regret that decision before you make it to the mailbox.

That's your Cajun Weekend Weather Report.

We ain't just telling y'all what the weather's doing. We're helping you survive Southwest Louisiana weather one sweaty weekend at a time. And yes...One of these weeks I'm finally gonna tell y'all it's gumbo weather. But this sure ain't the one.

15 Craziest Laws in Louisiana

If you’ve lived in Louisiana long enough, you already know this state marches to its own beat. We fry just about everything, we’ll turn any weekend into a festival, and we have laws on the books that’ll make you stop mid-sentence and say, “Wait… that’s real?”

According to Kenny Habetz Injury Law, it sure is. Their Lafayette personal injury lawyers put together a list of the 15 craziest rules still floating around Louisiana law. Some of these will make you laugh. Some might make you scratch your head. And believe it or not, breaking a few of them could land you with a fine or even jail time.
