Gas Prices Are Rising in Lake Charles: Here’s Where to Find the Cheapest Gas

Drivers in Louisiana are paying more at the pump this week, with gas prices moving higher across the state and in the Lake Charles area.

According to the latest AAA data, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in Louisiana is now $3.70. That is up from $3.64 one week ago and slightly higher than the $3.70 average from a month ago. Prices are also higher than they were at this time last year. In August 2025, the statewide average for regular gas was about $2.72 per gallon. That means drivers are now paying nearly 98 cents more per gallon than they were a year ago.

The national average is currently about $4.10 per gallon for regular gasoline.

Lake Charles Gas Prices

Drivers in the Lake Charles area are also seeing prices rise. The current average price for regular gasoline is $3.75 per gallon, according to AAA. That's up from $3.71 a week ago and slightly higher than the $3.73 average from a month ago. The difference from last year is even bigger. The Lake Charles area's average regular gas price was about $2.77 per gallon one year ago. Today's price is nearly 98 cents higher.
