Louisiana Volkswagen Dealership Acquired by Familiar Local Brand

The news just broke that the local Volkswagen dealership in Lake Charles has changed hands and has been acquired by a longstanding dealership that has been in business in Lake Charles for decades.

The local Volkswagen dealership we are talking about was called Volkswagen of Lake Charles, but not anymore. Volkswagen is known for cars like the Tiguan, Polo, Virtus, Nivus and Taigo, Passat, and the Magotan.

The move was posted on social media by the new owners. The dealership in Lake Charles that acquired the Volkswagen dealership is the Bolton family. They own Bolton Ford located on College Street in Lake Charles.

The Ford dealership, which is located at 1500 E College Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana has been in business for decades. It was started by Mr. Buddy Bolton and then his son King Bolton took over the dealership. It is one of the biggest Ford dealers in the Southern United States. It now looks like they have expanded their portfolio by acquiring the Volkswagen dealership in town.

They made the big announcement on social media with King Bolton and Jeremy Soileau standing next to one of the iconic Volkswagen vans in front of the new dealership. Here's the announcement and what they had to say.

By the looks of it, the take over is complete and the dealership is now open under the name Bolton Volkswagen. It is located at 3850 Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

There was no announcement on the deal between the previous owners and the new owners. The only thing that was announced was that Volkswagen of Lake Charles has now become Bolton Volkswagen.
