McNeese has been very proactive over the past few years in raising money. AD Heath Schroyer is ready to sell just about anything to bring in revenue for the Athletics Department. Back in July, McNeese announced a $5 million deal with Navarre Auto Group to purchase the naming rights to Cowboy Stadium, now known as Navarre Stadium.
On Thursday Morning, in a press conference held by McNeese Athletics, Director of Athletics Heath Schroyer announced that Joe Dumars Court will feature a corporate logo on the floor.
The deal that was officially announced on Thursday inside the Legacy Center is for a corporate sponsorship that allows the logo placement of Boudreaux's New Drug Store, which will place its logo on Joe Dumars Court in a $1.25 million deal.
“Growing up in Southwest Louisiana, McNeese basketball has always been part of my life,” said Jesse Vidrine, president and co-owner. “Some of the best memories are cheering on the Cowboys with friends and family. To see the Boudreaux’s logo on the court is deeply personal. It’s a symbol of how far we’ve come as a company and how strongly we remain connected to home. As we continue to grow across the country, we never want to feel too big for the community that gave us out start. Supporting McNeese is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ and of investing in the next generation of leaders right here in Southwest Louisiana.”
