McNeese Cowboy Block Party Continues Friday with The Flamethrowers

Lake Charles, Louisiana - The football season officially got underway last week with Week Zero, and that included the McNeese Cowboys. For a second straight week, McNeese will be at home, and that means for a second straight week we'll have another FREE Friday Night Cowboy Block Party, this week featuring the Flamethrowers.

If you have never been to a Cowboy Block Party, it is the perfect way to kick off a football weekend. The event happens every Friday night before a McNeese home football game and brings fans together for a free concert and celebration.

The Cowboy Block Party, presented by Lake Charles Toyota and the McNeese Athletic Foundation, is back for another year with a lineup of concerts, food, and fun before McNeese football home games.

Last weekend, the Cowboy Block Parties got underway with the legendary Wayne Toups live inside the Townsley Law Arena, and the show was awesome! The crowd was packed in, and Wayne Toups rocked the stage to kick off the football season.

Upcoming Cowboy Block Party Schedule & Lineup

This is a string of three weekends in a row that McNeese will open up the season at home. The upcoming schedule for the Block Parties looks like this:

• September 11th - Chee Weez
• September 25th - Dustin Sonnier
• October 30th - Keith Frank
• November 20th - LA ROXX

Cowboy Block Party Returns Friday, September 4th, with The Flamethrowers

Friday Night, the Cowboy Block Parties will have another night of great music as the Flamethrowers will take to the stage, back outside in The Grove, underneath the oaks. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and ice chests with their favorite drinks while enjoying live entertainment with fellow Cowboys fans.

If you have no idea who the Flamethrowers are, they know how to bring the energy. They are known as one of the South’s premier event bands; they perform a mix of dance, pop, R&B, and rock that keeps the crowd moving.
