Drew Brees Shows Up To Bananas Game in New Orleans

One of the biggest surprises came when former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees stepped onto the field as an honorary player. Brees grabbed a bat and took his turn at the plate inside the stadium, where he made so many memories during his football career.

Brees grounded out to the shortstop, but the crowd loved seeing him back on the field.

After the game, Brees talked about how special it was to see the Superdome turn into a baseball stadium.

“Obviously, we’ve had a lot of great moments in here,” Brees said. “But to see this stadium transform into a baseball stadium and see the type of event this is and the way fans love it — I mean, it’s two sold-out days in a row.”
