It's Diane's heart, compassion and willingness to go that extra mile for others that we celebrate this week!  We learned of all Diane's incredible character traits from her only daughter, Jerica Gore, who sent us a beautiful nomination letter on behalf of her Mom.

Just look at what Jerica had to say about Diane, and you'll see just how easy it was to name Diane this week's recipient of the Kiss Country Caught in the Act Award.

My mom has the most God-fearing heart I have ever known, and she believes deeply in the power of prayer. There have been many times in my life when I truly believe I was protected or guided because my mother was praying for me, even when I didn’t know it. She raised five children—four boys and me, the youngest and only girl—and today she is a proud grandmother to 14 or 15 grandchildren, along with countless “adopted” grandchildren who love her just the same. To my mom, family isn’t just about blood; it’s about love, kindness, and being there for people when they need you. Even though she lives on a fixed income, that has never stopped her from helping others. If someone needs help and she has the ability to give it, she will do so without hesitation. She would give a stranger the shirt off her back and never think twice about it. One example of her kindness is that she cooks dinner every single night for a sweet lady just to make sure she doesn’t go hungry. Acts like this are simply part of who she is. She doesn’t do these things for recognition—she does them because she genuinely cares about people. My mother has spent her life quietly helping others, showing compassion, and living out her faith through her actions. She has touched more lives than she will ever truly realize, and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of being recognized for the goodness she brings into this world.

Diane Funderburk, because you've been 'Caught in the Act', the gang at the Magnolia Pit have a $50 gift certificate for you to come enjoy a great meal!

Take a listen to the phone call we made to Kim to let her know that she was this week's Caught In The Act Award recipient.
