Hurry! Pre-Orders for $1 Trees Are Open in Louisiana (Here’s How to Get Them)
For those who might want to add some trees to their Louisiana landscaping, would you believe you can purchase those for as little as one dollar?

It's the truth! One George Washington will purchase a huge assortment of trees including several varieties of oaks, sycamore, mayhaw, birch, cedar and many many more.
Course, you might want fruit trees including peaches, plum, pears, even pomegranates and more and those can be purchased for as little as $40.
Fig trees, blueberry and blackberries are only $20, but to take advantage of these incredible prices, you need to act now while Bodcau SWCD is taking pre-orders for their 2026 Tree Sale!
Not sure what the Bodcau SWCD is? That stands for Bodcau Soil and Water Conservation District.
Louisianalandcan.org writes, "Soil & Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs) provide conservation planning services to landowners within their individual districts. SWCDs are local units of state government with capabilities very unique to any other form of state or local government, due mainly to their capability of entering private property at the request of landowners to plan and/or construct various conservation systems."

Because this is a government service, you'll know you're dealing with a reputable entity. It's not like buying a watch from some guy in a trench coat on the street corner.
Bodcau SWCD is taking those pre-orders through November 6th, and to make your order, fill out the order form and drop that off along with cash/check to 1907 Benton Road, Suite 600, in Bossier City.
They're open 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Trees will then be ready for pick up on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 5:30 pm or Saturday, February 21 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the LSU Ag Center Research Station at 262 Research Station Drive, in Bossier City.
