Bossier Police Catch 6-Foot Gator Wandering Through Neighborhood
For the second time in as many days, Bossier City Police were called to apprehend a dangerous threat to the citizens of Bossier.

Though these were totally unrelated incidents, the suspects apprehended looked amazingly similar.
According to the Bossier City Police Department Facebook page, on Friday morning, June 12, officers were called to 2105 Middle Creek off Stockwell Road, to handle a situation that police in the northern states would never experience; a wild alligator on the loose in a neighborhood.

And actually this was the second time last week, BCPD was called to situations like this. Just see the video below which KSLA reported on Wednesday, June 10.
The oddity of the Friday call is the distance this six-foot-long gator had to travel to get where he was finally detained.
Looking at the map below, assuming the gator came from the Red Chute Bayou, it had to navigate for quite a distance through a heavily populated area to get to the place he was caught.
And this begs the question of "why" the gator left the comforts of its waterfront home just to roam the streets off Stockwell Road.

Hats off to Officer L. Hackett and 2026 Rookie Officer of the Year Officer D. Kowaleski, who were joined by Officer Chad Gray and Sgt Morton, who successfully captured the gator and transported it to Red River, "where it has been reassigned to patrol for DWI suspects on behalf of BCPD. 🚔😄"
