Caddo Deputies Arrest Man for Alleged Sexual Abuse of a Juvenile

Caddo Parish Detectives have arrested a man in connection with the sexual abuse of a 15 year-old girl.

The investigation began after deputies received a report from a mother who discovered during a medical appointment that her daughter was pregnant.

During the investigation, the juvenile told Deputies that 33 year-old Benjamin Marsh, who was temporarily staying with the family, had sexually assaulted her, resulting in the pregnancy.

Deputies obtained a warrant for a DNA reference sample from Marsh to help determine the biological father of the child. Marsh was found by Deputies at the Economy Inn on Monkhouse Drive in Shreveport.

He was taken to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, where he was interviewed.

After the interview, there was enough probable cause to arrest Marsh for carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He was then taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on that charge. The investigation is ongoing.
