Caddo Deputy Faces Up to 20 Years After Jail Contraband Arrest

A Caddo Parish Sheriff Office Deputy is facing criminal charges following an internal investigation. Deputy Marqueshia Green, 35, was arrested on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, according to a release from Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

The arrest stems from allegations of misconduct at the Caddo Correctional Center facility. Green was herself booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on charges of Introducing Contraband Into a Penal Institution and Malfeasance in Office.

Cell Phone Discovered During Caddo Correctional Center Search

Personnel from the Caddo Parish Sheriff Office conducted a search of an inmate's cell at the Caddo Correctional Center on August 24, 2026. During the operation, authorities discovered an unauthorized cell phone hidden inside the cell. Once in possession of authorities, they started working to trace the origins of the device. The investigation didn't take long, and the cell phones origins were identified within hours.

A subsequent review linked the confiscated mobile device directly to Deputy Green. Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Detectives executed a follow-up investigation that resulted in the formal arrest...and the department says the investigation remains ongoing.
