Details On The Krewe Of Gemini 2024 Float Loading Party

Mardi Gras season in Shreveport is a big deal. Not just for the quality of life it brings to residents, but its a financial boost as well. Those are two things the city of Shreveport desperately needs more of.

Its also not hyperbole to say that one of the biggest economic boosts to the city comes from Mardi Gras. That's backed up by research. According to data from the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau $20 million in economic impact in 2023. They also found that nearly half of the attendees of the parades came from outside Shreveport/Bossier.

Beyond the financials, the quality of life impact is undeniable. Just look at the size of the crowds, the smiles of the faces, and the numbers when it comes to Krewe members in the area.

On of Shreveport's largest, and oldest, Mardi Gras Krewes is the Krewe of Gemini. As they prepare to roll once again, they're gearing up with the events we've come to expect. Including their Float Loading Party.

The Gemini Float Loading Party is one of the highlights on their annual calendar. This year's event will be Friday, February 9th, from 5pm to 8pm. It will take place on their Krewe grounds at 2101 E Texas Street in Bossier City.

You will see floats, royalty, and of course their Mardi Gras Museum. They will also have vendors, food trucks, and for the adults...bottomless beer cups.

The event is free, family friendly, and open to the public. So make sure you grab a tote to haul your beads, and bring the whole family out for a night of Mardi Gras fun in the Shreveport-Bossier area!
