Shreveport Restaurants Honor Veterans with Special Deals November 11

We pause to honor those who have served our nation on November 11, Veterans Day. Several Shreveport businesses will be offering special deals.

Veterans Day falls on a Wednesday this year and the day is a Federal Holiday to honor all veterans across the nation. This means government offices, the U.S. Postal Service, and many federal services will suspend normal operations for the day.

There is no doubt this is a special day to me. My Father fought in WWII during several big battles including Okinawa. He was part of the Greatest Generation. I'm so proud to be his daughter. And I am also a proud Mom with two sons currently serving in the military.

And living here near Barksdale Air Force Base, we’re home to thousands of service members, and Veterans Day is especially meaningful in our area.

Many restaurants and local businesses will open their doors to welcome active duty personnel, veterans, and retirees with special offers. You’ll often see free or discounted meals at participating locations. Be sure to bring a valid military ID or proof of service, and call ahead to confirm the deal is being honored at your local branch.

Because this is a popular day, expect lines and crowds at some restaurants. Planning ahead will make your day smoother.

Below are some of the national chains and restaurants that are confirmed (or widely reported) to be offering deals in 2026. Always verify with your local location, because participation can vary.
