Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana to Host Dog Wash
Not all animals shelters are the same. Quite frankly, some are run much better than others. And that stands true for the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana. I can speak from first-hand experience.
First of all, the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana is staffed almost entirely by volunteers. There aren't staff members there that "just need a job" and are looking for a paycheck. Every person that works there is there out of a love for the dogs.
This past weekend they held a fundraiser called Bingo & Brews at Great Raft Brewing that ended up being a smashing success.
By the way, more Bingo is scheduled for later in the year. You don't want to miss it! But there is another fun event that, if you're a dog lover/owner, you don't want to miss. The Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana is holding a Dog Wash at Marilynn's Place on Fern Avenue next month.
Even if your beloved pooch is an indoor pet, who's dog couldn't use a good scrubbing? And imagine you not having to do it! So not only do you get a squeaky clean canine, you're helping to raise money for a very worthy cause. Another fun event closer to Christmas is to have your dog's picture taken with Santa.
