Man Accused of Killing Vivian Officer Indicted by Caddo Grand Jury
The Grand Jury of Caddo Parish returned two indictments against a man accused of slaying a Caddo Parish law enforcement officer last year.
58 year-old Nicholas Edward Alexander, of Vivian, stands charged with first-degree murder in the 2025 slaying of Marc Tyler Brock, who was shot while he took part in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant against Alexander.
Reports from the Caddo Sheriff's Office say that when Vivian Police got to the scene of a home on North Pine Street in Vivian to serve a warrant, several shots were fired through the closed door. 25 year-old Officer Brock was shot, and taken to North Caddo Medical Center, where he died.
Alexander also was indicted on three misdemeanor charges of cyberstalking, alleging that in November of 2025, he used electronic communications to threaten, harass or terrify three separate individuals.
Alexander is in custody at Caddo Correctional Center, with no bond.
