SHREVEPORT, LA - Big news for the Blanchard area today. The new Love's Travel Stop is open off of I-49 at the North Market exit. This massive truck stop brings about 80 jobs to the area.

Blanchard Mayor Jim Galambos is very excited about this development. He tells KEEL News this truck stops will bring in much needed revenue for Blanchard in the form of sales tax collections. Galambos says part of the reason Love's chose this area was because the Town of Blanchard was able to annex the property and limit the red tape Love's would have to deal with if going through the Metropolitan Planning Commission.
