Residents in Natchitoches, Bossier City and Coushatta have reported feeling the shake early today.

What Residents Are Saying About this Quake

One resident has posted on social media this message: "I swear it just woke me up, like why is my bed swaying?" Another resident claims to have felt 2 quakes this morning, saying "this second one didn’t want to stop."  And David Martin says "It was bad here the whole mill shook."

This is not the first time there has been an earthquake in the Coushatta area. There have been 8 earthquakes in the area over the past 2 months, including one last week that measured 2.9 on the Richter scale. But this is the strongest one the area has seen in the past couple of years.
