What Happened in Bossier Death?

Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington says a 69-year-old Plain Dealing man was pronounced deceased due to the aftermath of Sunday nights storms. The man who lived in the 10000 block of Highway 3 in Plain Dealing died Sunday night after his oxygen machine quit working due to a power outage in his home.

Bossier Sheriff’s patrol deputies investigated the incident and determined that there were no suspicious circumstances and that the man was under hospice care. Bossier Sheriff’s patrol deputies answered numerous weather-related calls for service Sunday night into early Monday morning.

The storm caused damage all over Bossier Parish ranging from downed trees on roads and power lines to damaged utility poles and homes. The cleanup is expected to take several days.

Swepco also reports some people could be without power for a couple of days while they work to clear the area and install new lines where power lines were knocked down.
