Last week, SPD Officers conducted a traffic stop on 20 year-old Tony Thomas. During the stop, they found that Thomas was in possession of a gun that had been reported stolen. Thomas was arrested and charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
Also last week, in an unrelated incident, SPD Officers arrested 20 year-old Kielyn Combs, after he was found to be in possession of a firearm. Further investigation confirmed that the gun had been stolen. Combs was also charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm.
In both cases, the firearms have been seized and will be returned to their rightful owners.
