Shreveport Man Wanted for Beating Homeless Woman
Last week, Shreveport Police Department got a call reporting a woman was severely injured under the Cotten Street Bridge.
When Police got to the scene, they found the woman suffering from multiple injuries to her head and face. The woman was in-and-out of consciousness, but Police say her injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
SPD Detectives interviewed the victim in the hospital after she was stable. The victim told Police that she had just come from Missouri to Louisiana, and was living in a homeless camp near the Cotten Street Bridge. She said that a man she only knew as "Bobby" beat her with a metal pipe.
Through extensive investigation, SPD were able to identify the suspect of this brutal attack as Robert L. Dunham. A warrant has been obtained for Dunham's arrest for Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
Shreveport Police are urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to Dunham's arrest.
