Shreveport-Bossier Casinos See Revenue Boost for August
The battle for the top casino in Shreveport Bossier is still quite a race. In July, Horseshoe Casino was the top dog. But the August revenue numbers put Margaritaville as the leader of the pack. Horseshoe is a close second and the new kid on the block, Live Casino remains in 3rd place.
What Do the Casino Revenues Show?
Are the local casinos still bringing in big money to the local market? The numbers show overall gambling revenues are up compared to last month and up compared to a year ago. The August revenues are up by 5.5% over July. And looking at August of 2024, casino revenues are up 6.6% in the Shreveport Bossier market.

What Do the Gambling Numbers in Shreveport Bossier Show?
The most recent data for gambling revenue in Shreveport-Bossier shows higher numbers for almost all of the local casinos. Only Horseshoe shows lower numbers.
What Do the Total Gambling Dollars Look Like?
Total gaming revenue for the casinos in northwest Louisiana in August came in at $48.6 million, which represents a 5.5% increase from $46 million reported in July of this year. We are also showing a 6.6% increase from the August 2024 gambling revenues.
Statewide, the riverboats brought in $160,851,747 which is up 6.5% from July and up more than 9% from August of last year.

Margaritaville the big winner in this latest report. Revenues at the casino are nearly 15% from last month, but down 13% from a year ago.
Horseshoe Bossier City drops down to second place for the month with revenues down 13.7% from last month and down 25% from August of 2024.
Live! Casino, which is new to the market, brought in $10.6 million in revenue. That’s up almost 13% from July.
