Shreveport Man Arrested for Allegedly Exposing Himself

Shreveport Police arrested a man following an investigation into allegations that he exposed his genitals to a victim on two separate occasions.

Detectives received the report last month. During the investigation, the victim identified 46 year-old Johnny Kirkwood through a six-person photographic lineup.

Yesterday, investigators were able to find Kirkwood and took him to the Investigations Office for an interview. After being read his Miranda rights, Kirkwood made statements implicating himself in the reported conduct.

Kirkwood was arrested on one count of Obscenity.

"The applicable provision of Louisiana’s obscenity law includes intentionally exposing the genitals in a public place or a place open to public view when the exposure is intended to arouse sexual desire, appeals to a prurient interest, or is patently offensive."
