
Shreveport Police’s VCAT Team Makes Arrest for Meth and Guns
On Monday, Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) acted on information they had about illegal gun activity by an offender known by SPD.
SPD were able to get a search warrant based on their information for Steven Trent's house on Eddy Place. The VCAT team showed up to execute the warrant, and were able to find a large amount of meth in a gun safe, along with several firearms, and the prescription drug Clonazepam.
Trent was arrested and charged with the following:
· Illegal Carrying of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance
· Possession of Schedule II (Methamphetamine)
· Possession of Schedule IV (Clonazepam)
