Shreveport Police Arrest 2 More on Felony Firearms Charges
SHREVEPORT, LA- VCAT Concludes Investigation Resulting in Arrest of Two on Firearm Charges
The Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT) has concluded an investigation that led to the arrest of two individuals, 17-year-old Edward Logan and 18-year-old Jordan Brown, on multiple firearms and narcotics charges.
In late September, VCAT initiated an investigation after reports emerged linking Edward Logan to firearm-related offenses in the 4200 block of Lakeshore Drive. Logan, who was on probation for prior charges including illegal possession of stolen property and illegal use of a weapon, was under close surveillance.
On October 2, VCAT officers arrived at the Lakeshore Drive location, where they observed Logan exit a third-floor balcony and discard a handgun into the courtyard behind the building. Upon entering the residence, officers detained all individuals present and conducted a search, uncovering an AR-15-style rifle and narcotics in the living room area.
Both Edward Logan and Jordan Brown were arrested on October 2 and now face charges related to firearm and narcotics offenses.
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to addressing violent crime and ensuring the safety of our community.
