Shreveport Police have secured an arrest warrant for a man in connection with a stolen rental vehicle investigation.

Last month, Adam Pipkins rented a Hyundai Sonata from Enterprise Rent-A-Car for a one-day rental, which was due to be returned on the next day. After the vehicle was not returned, Enterprise made several attempts to contact Pipkins without success.

Two weeks later, a certified demand letter was sent to Pipkins. When the vehicle was still not returned, Enterprise reported the vehicle stolen, and it was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database.

Earlier this month, Enterprise was notified by the Panola County Sheriff’s Office in Texas that deputies had conducted a traffic stop involving the vehicle, with Pipkins as the driver. Deputies with PCSO recovered the vehicle; but, Pipkins was not arrested at that time.

Detectives submitted an arrest warrant last week. The warrant was signed, and Pipkins is now wanted in connection with this case.

From SPD:
