Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Road Rage Involving a Gun
Last week, Shreveport Police were called out to East Bert Kouns Industrial Loop to a road rage incident.
Officers showed up to the scene, and the victim told them that they unintentionally cut off another driver. The driver of the other car, late identified as 68 year-old Timothy Brown, began following the victim and told them to pull over.
Once the victim stopped, Brown pulled a gun and pointed it right at him. The victim hit the gas and drove off as fast as he could and called police.
Patrol Officers with Shreveport Police were able to identify and track down Brown and arrest him. He is being charged with aggravated assault with a firearm.
From SPD:
"This case serves as a strong reminder that firearms should never be used as a means of resolving conflict—especially during a traffic dispute. Regardless of how frustrated you may be by another driver’s actions, pointing a weapon at someone who is not actively threatening your life is a crime.
Let cooler heads prevail. If you feel endangered or witness reckless driving, call the police—don’t escalate the situation."
