Shreveport Police Arrests Teen for Sex Crimes Involving an Under 13 Year-Old

Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives have arrested a 17 year-old following a sexual assault investigation that began in late 2025.

During the investigation, SPD Sex Crimes Detectives developed evidence indicating that DeMarcus Hampton had fathered a child with a female victim who was under the age of 13.

Based on the findings of the investigation, Sex Crimes Detectives were able to obtain an arrest warrant charging Hampton with one count of First-Degree Rape.

Hampton has since been taken into custody and was transported to Caddo Correctional Center on that charge while he awaits trial. The teen is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
