Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Pawning a Stolen Rolex

A stolen Rolex taken from a casino hotel room in Bossier City has been recovered in Shreveport, and the suspect now faces additional charges.

The investigation started after a woman reported that her platinum diamond-face Rolex was stolen from her hotel room at Live Casino in Bossier City back in July.

Investigators were able to determine that an employee of the casino, Vonlynn Williams, entered the hotel room while the victim was away. The next day, Williams allegedly pawned the stolen Rolex at USA Pawn on North Market Street in Shreveport.

Bossier City Police called Shreveport Police for assistance after the watch was found at the pawn shop. SPD Detectives recovered the expensive watch from the pawn shop and entered it as evidence in the investigation.

The pawn shop also requested charges be filed on Williams after finding out the transaction involved stolen property.

An arrest warrant was signed for Williams earlier this month. Williams is currently being held in Bossier Parish on charges related to the original theft and will be taken to Shreveport authorities when she is released.
