Shreveport Teenager Allegedly Shot and Killed by Her Younger Brother

The Shreveport Police Department is continuing to investigate a shooting that happened on LeGardy Street.

The 14 year-old female victim, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head, has tragically died from her injuries.

Detectives detained several people who were inside the home to determine exactly what happened.

Officers and Detectives conducted interviews with multiple people. As a result of the investigation, a 13 year-old male has been arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder in connection with the incident.

The juvenile, who is the victim’s sibling, has been transported to the juvenile detention center.

The Caddo Coroner has identified the victim as 14 year-old Makayla Pennywell.
