Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance while they actively search for two Natchitoches men wanted in connection with the home invasion and kidnapping of a woman near Natchitoches on Sunday morning according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.

Detectives are currently searching for Suspect #1. Jimmie Evans, Age: 43, B/Male, Hgt/5’09”, Wgt/175, with black hair, possibly short and brown eyes of the 100 block of Mary Drive, Payne Sub-Division of Natchitoches, La.

Evans is wanted by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office on active criminal warrants signed by a Tenth Judicial District Judge for Home Invasion, Second Degree Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm.
Evans may be armed.
Suspect #2. Carroll "Spotlight" Rachal, Age: 63, B/Male, Hgt/5’09”, Wgt/187, with black hair, possibly with some graying, and brown eyes of the 100 block of Roberson Street in Natchez, La.

Rachal also has ties to Natchitoches.
Rachal is wanted by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office on active criminal warrants signed by a Tenth Judicial District Judge for Second Degree Kidnapping.
On Sunday morning, April 7, 2024, shortly after midnight, Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Operations Bureau responded to a reported disturbance in the 100 block of La Hwy 3191 near Natchitoches.
Deputies arrived on scene, learning that a female had been kidnapped out of an apartment allegedly by gunpoint and pulled into some nearby woods.
Deputies began canvassing the area looking for a suspect identified as Jimmie Evans and the female victim.
Detectives assigned to the NPSO Criminal Investigations Bureau were notified.
As the investigation and search for the suspect and victim continued, NATCOM 911 Center received a second call from a concerned citizen on Mary Drive in Payne Sub-Division just on the outskirts of the City of Natchitoches off of La Hwy 6 East.
The caller informed dispatchers that an upset female knocked on her door requesting help because she had been abducted.
Deputies immediately responded to the residence finding the victim suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to assess and treat the victim.
The victim was transported to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, treated and later released.
Detectives continued the investigation throughout the week, interviewing witnesses, the victim, and collecting evidence while they executed a search warrant at a residence on Mary Drive in Payne Sub-Division.
Based on sufficient evidence and probable cause, detectives were able to gather information to obtain criminal warrants on Jimmie Evans and Carroll Rachal for their involvement in the alleged home invasion and kidnapping of the victim.
Detectives are continuing their search for Evans and Rachal who are still on the run.
