SHREVEPORT, LA - The Shreveport City Council has passed a resolution calling on Mayor Tom Arceneaux to declare a State of Emergency because of crime in our community.

Councilwoman Tabatha Taylor says she wants to do everything possible to fight violence crime in our community. She says violence is out of control and some of the victims have been women and children. She believes much of the violence we are seeing is gang-related.
