Woman Sentenced to Prison for Arson in Caddo Court
A Texas woman has been sentenced in Caddo Court after pleading guilty to setting fire to her boyfriend's mother's home.
37 year-old Tory Lee Reed was charged with setting fire to a home on Ben Jai Drive in November of 2022. The home belonged to Reed's Boyfriend's Mother. The fire engulfed the entire house, causing the house to burn down completely.
Reed confessed to SFD investigators that she started the fire. Reed said she only meant to burn the couch in the living room, but it got out of control. Reed was the only one in the house at the time of the fire.
No one was injured in the fire, but it caused over $54,000 in damage.
Reed is looking down the barrel of a five year prison sentence for felonious simple arson. When she is released she has register with the Fire Marshal as an arsonist.
