Shreveport Youree Drive Project: Roadwork Progress & Completion Timeline
SHREVEPORT, LA - Things are a bit hectic on Youree Drive in Shreveport. The roadway is getting a complete overlay from Stoner Avenue to Southfield Road.
The cost of this project is $3.8 million. This comes from money lawmakers dedicated to each region of the state. All areas are getting $7.5 million.
Just a week ago, I left to go on vacation and nothing was being done on Youree Drive north of Kings Highway, but when I returned, crews had already removed the top layer of pavement on a couple of lanes from Stoner to East Kings. This is a clear indication that they are moving full steam ahead.
