The Krewe of Centaur den is shining bright with a brand new sign at their location on North Market in Shreveport, LA.

Have you seen the new Krewe of Centaur sign yet in Shreveport?

If you haven't seen the new glowing sign on the front of the first warehouse or den you come to when you get to the Krewe of Centaur den on North Market Street in Shreveport, LA, you're missing out. It's bright, it's festive, and it was just designed and installed by long-time member and corporate sponsor John Stephens from Sign It.

Captain of the Krewe of Centaur, Ricky Bridges, posted this yesterday on the Krewe's Facebook page. While the pictures are nice, you've really got to see the sign in person because the Mardi Gras colored 'confetti' in the back ground lights up intermittently to make it look like it's in motion. It's sweet!

For those who aren't familiar with Mardi Gras, the Krewe of Centaur was formed in the Shreveport-Bossier City are in 1991 and is the second oldest parading krewe in modern times in our area. The Krewe is widely regarded as one of the largest in the state, giving it 'super krewe' status with 750+ members. The Krewe of Centaur was named in honor of the half man, half horse mythical being in recognition of the horse racing and gaming industry in our area.
