Darth Vader Actor Dmitrious Bistrevsky Headed To Shreveport
The premier pop culture event in the Ark-La-Tex is officially preparing for its 11th annual weekend in Downtown Shreveport. Geek'd Con is locked in to take over the Shreveport Convention Center this summer from August 14th through the 16th, 2026.

Star Wars Actor Dmitrious Bistrevsky Joins The Lineup
The 2026 guest roster is bringing the galaxy far, far away to North Louisiana with the addition of actor and stunt performer Dmitrious Bistrevsky. He is best known to fans as the physical performance actor for the legendary Sith Lord, Darth Vader, in the hit Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
One of the scariest scenes in Star Wars history is actually the scene Dmitrious described as his favorite to film. In Part III, Vader stalks the village on Mapuzo like the killer in a slasher film. Attacking villagers one by one to draw out Obi-Wan. The scene remains the most haunting display of Vader's powers we've ever seen.
His contributions to the Star Wars universe don't stop there. Bistrevsky also portrayed the Quarren Trawler in the acclaimed series The Mandalorian. Beyond live-action, he provided the cinematic performance capture for the terrifying Inquisitor, the Ninth Sister, in the massive video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor...cementing his legacy in the modern era of the franchise.
He also got to play Chewbacca on the set of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Outside of Star Wars, Dmitrious has worked on The Orville, Lucifer, The Crooked Man, Legion, and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
