Famous Streamer Kai Cenat Comes to Shreveport

Shreveport's been excited as we approach 50 Cent's Humor & Harmony festival this August, with stacked rosters for the Humor & Harmony concert, the Big Bowl Comedy Show, and planned appearances from a huge list of celebrities. One of these scheduled appearances is from the 3-time Streamer Awards winner, Kai Cenat.

If this is your first time hearing the name Kai Cenat let's get you up to speed with the famous Twitch streamer. Kai began his career as an influencer in 2018 while still in high school, and over time he gained a following creating reaction and prank videos. Kai later dropped out of college in 2020 to focus on his growing content creation gig. In 2021 Cenat started to focus on his Twitch streaming channel, where he would stream himself gaming and chatting with viewers.

Kai Cenat's streams blew up in popularity starting in April of 2022 when he started getting famous rappers to guest star on his streams, starting with the infamous rapper Bobby Shmurda. Later the same year he would have Lil Baby and 21 Savage on stream as well, all helping to build Kai's channel as one of the most popular on the platform.

If you don't know Kai for his streams there's a chance you know him from either accidentally inciting a riot in New York City or helping springboard the 2023 Oxford word of the year. In August of 2024, Kai did a live stream in New York City where he was going to give away Playstation 5 game consoles in Union Square, and quickly thousands of fans rushed Union Square causing New York Police to respond as the gathering quickly devolved into a riot. Kai was arrested and charged with inciting a riot but charges were later dropped when Kia paid over $50k in restitution to the city.
