Don’t Look for Raccoons! This Bossier Farm Is the New Flower-Picking Gem
After driving past the sign for what felt like the hundredth time, I finally pulled over to see Raccoon Bend Farms for myself, right here in Bossier. And spoiler alert: there are, in fact, zero raccoons for petting. However, you can walk through a field of flowers and pick your own, and honestly, that brings just as much joy, if not more.
When my friend and I decided to check out this Bossier gem, we had no idea what to expect. The sign is simple, and the farm keeps unique hours, operating only a few days a week for a few hours each day. I suppose when you have such a unique operation, you can afford to have unique hours.
Walk Through a Field of Flowers at This Bossier Farm and Build Your Own Bouquet
I'd be lying if I tried to tell you what kind of flowers these are, but they make for the most beautiful bouquets, in fact, as I type this, I am staring at my own beautiful bouquet. My friend and I frolicked through the field, picking what we felt were the most beautiful flowers. It felt like an adventure far from home, yet there we were, right on Airline Drive, living our best life.

Raccoon Bend Farms sits right on Airline Drive and actually started as a way to provide "clean food" to Northwest Louisiana, ensuring every ingredient is organic and carefully selected. Their mission is for you to "Enjoy a meal crafted with the highest quality and sustainability standards straight from our garden to your table." When you visit, you absolutely can't skip out on the wonderful sourdough bread and other treats. The sourdough goodness is unreal! My friend and I both stocked up and loved seeing the farm filled with other locals discovering this new gem in our community.
Raccoon Bend Farm is located at 5217 Airline Dr. Bossier City, La. 71111.
