I don't know about you, but there's something about the imagery of going ice skating for a date that makes me smile. Sure, it brings to mind a scene out of a Hallmark Christmas movie, but when it comes to romance, that's not a bad thing! There's a reason why women, and yes, some men, are hooked ;)

Where can you go ice skating in Shreveport, LA?

Did you know that here in Shreveport, LA, where we rarely get winter weather, you can go ice skating? You can! Just head to where our Shreveport Mudbug Hockey team plays, George's Pond at Hirsch Coliseum. During December, they're offering public skate nights on the 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 27th, and 28th from 6 - 9 pm. It's affordable, too, at just $10 per person and $5 to rent ice skates.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering, ice skating is great exercise because you have to engage your core to stay upright. Plus, it works nearly every muscle group in your body. And don't worry if you're not any good at it. It's not like we get a lot of practice living in the South!
