Shreveport’s Famous Pizza Eatery Announces Opening Date

Southern Hills Was Home to Some of the Best Pizza in Shreveport.

Smitty's Pizza has been making some of the most delicious pizzas for over 40 years, but their time in the beloved neighborhood came to an abrupt end. Smitty's on Mansfield took to their Facebook page for the big announcement that they had to move locations. Several fans of the Shreveport pizzeria were left in the dark on where this spot would move.

Their Facebook page started off by saying "Smitty’s Pizza will soon be relocating to another location to be determined, which will be closer to the middle of Shreveport. (We will announce once it has been confirmed)." Smitty's Pizza went on to explain that the owner of the embroidery business next door passed away, and that side of the building had been empty for some time. After that, the landlord wanted to sell. According to the Facebook post, there will be a new business moving into that location.

Smitty's Has Announced Their New Location is an Old Pizza Hut Building.

Smitty's new location is 2525 Southside Drive right off Mansfield Road. They claim that they will be staying in South Shreveport for a long time and so many Smitty Pizza fans are elated. We have been patiently waiting for an opening date since November, now we know Smitty's is ready to serve on Saturday, January 4th at 1:00 p.m.
