Just in time for everyone's "New Year resolutions", the Girl Scouts are ready to kick off their most popular time of the year. That's right, its Girl Scout Cookie season.

For scouts (and let's be honest, parents) in the Shreveport and Bossier City areas, cookie season will be launching in just a couple short days. With the Girl Scouts of Louisiana-Pines to the Gulf getting ready to host "Cookie University North" on January 18th.

Of course everyone who knows a Girl Scout will be able to order their cookies directly from the scout they know, but it won't be the only way to get your hands on one of the most addictive snacks known to mankind. Because local Girl Scouts will be posted up outside of local retail locations with boxes available.

If we're the cookie addicts, they're our cookie dealers...and I wouldn't have it any other way. Because Girl Scout cookies might be the tastiest way to support incredible local kids every conceived. Here's a quick explainer on how these cookie sales help from our local Girl Scout organization:

"With each cookie purchase, you’re supporting Girl Scouts as they learn, grow, and thrive through all of life’s adventures. Plus, all proceeds stay local to help fund life-changing, girl-led programs, experiences, and learning all year long in your community.

Because you get your cookies directly from a Girl Scout (or troop), you’ll enjoy them even more knowing you’re helping local Girl Scouts gain the business experience and confidence to take on the world, one cookie at a time."

In the Shreveport and Bossier areas, you can expect to see piles of Girl Scout cookies on tables outside of retailers on Youree Drive in Shreveport, Airline Drive in Bossier City, and various other retail locations around the community. Just remember, when you break your resolution for a Thin Mint, it's going to help an amazing organization.
