Although we are well into the summer here in Texas, I am still coming across new creepy crawlies trying to make their way into my home every day.

I usually spot plenty of critters trying to make their way inside during the rainy spring months. The mix of moisture and hotter days tends to lure them indoors. However, there have been plenty of bugs still trying to enjoy the AC during these summer months.

Even if they aren’t making their way into your home, you are sure to be confronted by an array of bugs once you step outside. From blood suckers to stingers, there are certain ones you really don’t want to be bothered with.

Good Bugs vs Bad Bugs

I adore spotting the occasional dragonfly or ladybug, but when it comes to things that want to hurt me, I'm out.

Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to keep the bugs you don’t want in and around your home from bothering you too much. You can plant specific herbs that respell mosquitos, fleas, and ticks, you can wear certain sprays or oils, and you can light a good-ol citronella candle.

In order to best fend off these critters, you have to know what you are fighting. Keep scrolling for 20 different creepy crawlies that are likely spoiling your summer fun in Texas.
