There Have Been 15 Reported UFO Sightings So Far in Louisiana for 2026
LOUISIANA - We are currently living in a time unlike any other in history when it comes to UFOs. The topic has become much more mainstream over the past few years, and even the United States Government has attempted some transparency on the subject by launching the website AARO.mil.
On this Government website, anyone can peel through official documents containing information about UFO, or UAP sighting, uploaded video of some of these sightings, and more.
Another website called nuforc.org also keeps track of UFO sightings and reports and categorizing them by Sate and date.
Louisiana UFO Sightings 2026
In the latest Louisiana information reported by nufoc.org, there are now 15 total reported and documented UFO sights for 2026.
From Baton Rouge to Breaux Bridge, Lake Charles to Opelousas, let's take a look at where, and what is being reported when it comes to UFOs and UAPs around Louisiana.
9/7/2026 - Breaux Bridge, Louisiana
What was reported - Aura or haze around object
"I believe the object may have been spherical, but it was going very fast and I only saw it in the blink of an eye. It was less than 1000 ft up with scattered clouds flying southeast. After asking ChatGPT to estimate distance travled based on how far it seemed to go around 7000M in less than a second the speed is estimated to be somewhere to be 30,000 – 60,000 mph or mach 30 – mach 78."

8/31/2026 - Kinder, Louisiana
What was reported - An object with four total underside lights. possible stealth, low flying, silent.
"Object appeared to follow my car or stay relative to a fixed position around my vehicle almost like it wanted me to see it. It followed for the rest of the drive nearing my home leaving around 5 minutes away from my house. It appeared to go south then disappeared from line of sight."
8/14/2026 - New Orleans, Louisiana
What was reported - Lights on object, Aura or haze around object
"Hovering in the sky over our house for like 45 minutes Changing directions and staying the same size. Pulsing flashes of light, in weird directions. It was way too high to be a drone."
8/01/2026 - Slidell, Louisiana
What was reported - Lights on object, emitting beams.
"Multiple green lights under surface and disappeared quick. It appeared under the bridge and disappeared quick right after seeing it it only took two seconds."

7/31/2026 - Baton Rouge, Louisiana
What was reported - Bowtie shaped, center looked circular. Wings/sides looked fanned out. Not solid.
"Was larger and faster than any drones I've seen. It swooped down showing different angles but it was hard to understand what i was looking at. All I knew was that it wasn't something I've ever seen before. It was out of sight the view of trees by the time I could grab my phone."
7/08/2026 - Goldonna, Louisiana
UFO hovered over house. UFO 50-60' long with 8 lights attached to side.
"UFO hovered over my sister's house. UFO was 50-60' long with 8-10 lights like car dimmer lights semi-attached to UFO, 3 on sides & 2 front/rear. Hovered over my sister's house low enough for her to see real well. Then it turned the lights in her own house ALL ON then ALL OFF, as if to say 'Hello, we see you'. Her friend was with her at the time and saw the whole thing too. Then the UFO disappeared in a flash."
6/22/2026 - Walker, Louisiana
What was reported - Large triangular/wedge shaped craft.
"This was at night so I could not make out any great detail, but the orange lights were far brighter than anything I would see on a regular aircraft and not in any arrangement that would make sense on a regular aircraft. The only sensible thing it might have been would be an aircraft on fire, which I doubt."
6/11/2026 - Denham Springs, Louisiana
What was reported - Sliver orb stationary in the sky, then all of a sudden it disappeared like it was cloaking.
"I was driving my normal route to the gym when I looked up and saw an orb. I thought it could be stars left over from the night but as I looked you could tell it was metallic because the sun was reflecting off the object. It lasted maybe 30 seconds then disappeared like it went into a cloaking mode."
