BATON ROUGE, La. - A months-long drug investigation has led to the arrest of a Baton Rouge man who investigators say sold cocaine in the LSU area, including to college students.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office, the suspect worked as a cook at an LSU fraternity house and is now facing multiple felony drug charges after investigators recovered cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA, cash, and drug paraphernalia during the investigation. The allegations remain accusations, and the charges have not been proven yet in court.

Investigation Began After Tips About Drug Activity

According to WAFB, investigators say the case started in March of this year after receiving complaints about suspected drug activity involving a man driving a Toyota truck around Baton Rouge.

Authorities later identified the suspect as 35-year-old Jordan Cole Langlois. During the investigation, detectives with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said they also received additional information from LSU Campus Police alleging Langlois was selling cocaine to students while working as a cook at the Delta Chi fraternity house on the LSU campus.

Search Warrants Uncovered Multiple Drugs

On June 30, investigators executed search warrants at multiple Baton Rouge locations.

Authorities say they recovered:

  • More than two ounces of cocaine
  • Over 20 grams of methamphetamine
  • One dose of MDMA
  • Digital scales
  • Drug packaging materials
  • Bottles of inositol, which investigators say is commonly used as a cutting agent
  • Cash allegedly connected to drug sales

According to WAFB, investigators also reported finding additional cocaine inside the suspect's truck and on his person during the arrest.

Langlois was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on several felony charges, including:

Two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance.
One count of possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance.
One count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
