In Louisiana, there are legions of fans loyal to the Black and Gold of the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. The Saints have been a source of pride in recent years. However, those of us who can spell Billy Joe Tolliver can remember when the future was not bright and did not require the wearing of shades.

In fact, there were more than a few times when the words New Orleans Saints and laughing stock were often used together. We have all heard about the mom that was asked to stop dropping her kids off at the Superdome, now, haven't we? And if you don't know that joke then you've experienced the "good side" Saints fandom.

This past Sunday the Saints defeated the Kansas City Chiefs and that has given many Saints fans reason to be quite positive about the team's chances as we move into the new season. But we have to remember this is still the preseason and mistakes can happen. I think this shot of former Head Coach Sean Payton and Drew Brees sums up how most of us feel about the preseason, don't you?

And while there weren't too many faux pas on the field this past Sunday there has been a bit of a "oopsie" in the Saints program.  If you look closely at this social media post you might be able to spot "the issue".

Take a look at Number 84 in your program. That's not Lynn Bowden Jr. that's former Saints great Mark Ingram pictured there. You might recall Ingram just announced he will be doing television this football season and not "toting the rock" for the Black and Gold. But based on his comments, he does seem open to the idea.

As we mentioned, it's preseason and that means it's preseason for everyone including the program publishers. I am sure they will fix this delightful faux pas as soon as possible. But you have to admit, it's still kind of nice seeing Mark Ingram listed as a player for the Saints.

Speaking of the Saints and their preseason schedule, they'll be in Los Angeles on Saturday night to take on the Chargers. They wrap up preseason against the Houston Texans on August 27th. And, they'll open regular season play on September 10th when the Tennessee Titans come to New Orleans.

And y'all let's remember if we have issues at running back, Mark said we could call.
