Tripadvisor Named this Louisiana City the No.1 Food Destination in the Country

Tripadvisor has revealed its annual "Best of the Best Destinations" rankings, encompassing a wide array of travel categories, including Top Destinations, Trending Destinations, Culture Destinations, Nature Destinations, Honeymoon Destinations, Sustainable Destinations, and  Food Destinations.

The selections are made based on calculations that factor in the quality and quantity of reviews submitted by travelers globally on Tripadvisor. These reviews covered accommodations, restaurants, and things to do in various destinations, from October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023.

Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best winners are destinations whose hotels, restaurants and things to do received a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from our community over a 12-month period. Fewer than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence in travel

The Number One Food Destination in the United States

This year's standout in the United States "Food Destinations" category for the second year in a row is, New Orleans. Even though it's not a surprise it certainly is much deserved.

Tripadvisor's assessment of this Louisiana gem highlights its remarkable character, which distinguishes it from other cities across the nation. With an ambiance that exudes life and a unique, "laid-back energy", they say that this destination offers a plethora of experiences waiting to be explored.

Being from Louisiana we know that New Orleans has so much to offer and agree that the city deserves this recognition. While it is not a shocking revelation that New Orleans has excellent food it certainly is nice to feel validated and the recognition from Tripadvisor reinforces New Orleans' status as a premier culinary destination in the United States.
