That ticket was one of several tickets that returned a lot more to players than their initial investment of $2 bucks or $3 bucks if they opted for the Power Play on the multi-state lottery game. Let's check the numbers and see how you did.

Here is the drawing from Monday night's Powerball game.

The ping pong balls finally settled after being rousted from their hopper the numbers that were left were:

12   16   33   39   52   Powerball 01  Power Play x2

Once you've perused those numbers you will need to verify them at the Official Powerball website or the Official Texas Lottery website. Both sites have places where you can enter ticket numbers and learn how much you did or did not win in the game.

Hopefully, you were one of the big winners in Texas last night. While a $50,000 prize is nice it wasn't Powerball's biggest win of the evening. That honor belongs to a New York sold ticket that Matched 5 for one million dollars. No ticket sold for last night's drawing matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize of an estimated $116,000,000.

So do check your numbers.

The Powerball jackpot will now climb to an estimated $129 million on Wednesday. Meanwhile, tonight's Mega Millions drawing, the other multi-state lottery game, boasts a jackpot of $202 million. That is an estimation as well.
