Turns out 2020 was a great fundraising year for Jeff Landry as the current Louisiana Attorney General added $1 million during a year marred by the COVID pandemic.

“I appreciate the strong support I am receiving,” said Jeff Landry in a press release, “Although we have further to go in reaching our objectives, the support I have received puts my campaign committee on a solid foundation as we move forward.”

This brings Landry's cash-on-hand to over $2 million in his state campaign bank account, which Landry for Louisiana - the official Campaign Committee for Jeff Landry - will report in his Louisiana state campaign finance report due on February 15.

Keep in mind that the state is nearly three years out from the next major statewide Louisiana election. There is lots of speculation that Landry will run to succeed Governor John Bel Edwards in 2023.

“My focus will continue to be on protecting Louisiana; our jobs, economy, families, and way of life. Having support from so many as evidenced in this campaign filing, in those who follow me on social media, and in the comments I receive as I travel the state gives me confidence that the people of Louisiana are behind me in these efforts,” Landry added.
