Kansas City Brings Home World Series Championship, Lamar Odom Off Dialysis + More

It’s official! The Kansas City Royals beat the New York Mets last night 7 to 2 in the 12^th inning to clinch their first World Series Championship since 1985! The Royals took the series 4 games to 1. This is the franchises second ever World Series Championship.

Fred Thompson passed away yesterday from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at 73 years old. Thompson was both an actor and politician, serving as a Senator from 1994 to 2003 and also played D.A. Arthur Branch on Law & Order from 2002 – 2007. His movie credits include The Hunt for Red October, Die Hard 2 and Cape Fear.

What’s going on with Jimmy Fallon? He’s fallen twice this year, injured both his hands and chipped a tooth. There’s talk the folks at NBC are worried that he drinks too much. A Manhattan bartender who’s served Jimmy over several years says, “He’s a mess [but] I love him”
