Kathleen Blanco To Be Honored

Today, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards will be honoring former Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco with a dedication.

Blanco will be honored again by local and state officials this time with the dedication of a roadway in her honor.

Officials will be meeting in the 2200 block of the Northwest Evangeline Thruway as that section of roadway will be named in honor of the former governor.

The highway will be unveiled as the Kathleen Babineaux Blanco Highway.

The ceremony will begin at 5:30 this evening.
